The highlights of this week's edition are the latest results from the RECOVERY Collaborative Group, investigating azithromycin in hospitalised patients with COVID-19; systematic reviews and meta analyses on convalescent plasma therapy for COVID-19 & the mortality of older patients admitted to the ICU; and observational studies on SARS-CoV-2 evolution during treatment of chronic infection & the occurrence of invasive pulmonary fungal infections in ICU patients with severe COVID-19. There are also guidelines on heart donation and transplantation after circulatory determination of death & post-cardiac arrest care and targeted temperature management; narrative reviews on ARDS during COVID-19 & vasopressor therapy in the ICU; an editorial on biomarkers to guide ventilation and readiness for extubation; as well as correspondence on percutaneous tracheostomy & monoclonal antibody therapy for patients with Covid-19.
