Other notable publications include randomised controlled trials comparing low-normal vs high-normal oxygenation targets & an investigation on the efficacy and safety of baricitinib for the treatment of hospitalised adults with COVID-19; systematic reviews and meta analyses on targeted temperature management in adult cardiac arrest & ivermectin for preventing and treating COVID‐19; and observational studies on one-year outcomes of critically ill paediatric patients post–COVID-19 multisystem inflammatory syndrome & pulmonary aspergillosis in critically ill COVID-19 patients.

There are also guidelines on valvular heart disease & anticoagulation for thromboprophylaxis in patients with COVID-19; narrative reviews on pediatric airway management in times of COVID-19 & kidney failure after liver transplantation; editorials on climate change & early mobilization and rehabilitation; and commentaries on mechanical support strategies for children with severe cardiac failure & selective digestive decontamination; as well as correspondence on the resurgence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in a highly vaccinated health system workforce & COVID-19 associated pulmonary aspergillosis.
